I have been active all my life playing basketball, softball, tack, and golf. At an early age I learned how to water ski, ride horses, hike around and just have FUN!! I continue to move and enjoy life.
I started my educational journey in 1988 attending Des Moines Area Community College. Graduating with honors with 3.75, I continued my track at Iowa State University. With the help of some wonderful professors, I was successful in gaining my degree in Science with an emphasis in K-12 Physical Education. I continued my education with a Masters Degree at Drake University in Curriculum and Design graduating in May of 2007.
I was employed as the Head Softball Coach at DMACC in 1991-1996. We were very successful in our NJCCA tournament play. My last 3 seasons we had 20 plus wins. A great testament to the young ladies that played and studied.
I joined the WCHS family in 2000-01. I have enjoyed many hours with the students and staff here at school.
I am also the Girls Golf Coach. If you are interested in playing golf please contact me at your convenience.
I have played competitive golf for many years. I have made some wonderful friends and shared some super moments. I am still searching for my "first hole-in-one." I came very close this summer (2016) hitting the stick and rolling backwards. PS got the birdie:) I am constantly learning about my game and love to just get out there. Nature is so wonderful.
I have 2 girls and 7 grand kids, range from 18 to 3 years old. I am blessed with a black lab, Valor and an understanding husband, Alan. I also have 1 grand dog and a grand cat.
